Dopey (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) - Par-T-Mask - Einson Freeman Co. Paper Mask (1937)
This is an original Par-T-Mask paper mask of Dopey, the most beloved of the Seven Dwarfs, produced in 1937 by the Einson Freeman Company, Inc. under license from Walt Disney Productions.
When Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiered in 1937, it was a groundbreaking cultural event — the very first feature-length animated film. Of all the dwarfs, Dopey captured hearts like no other. His oversized ears, childlike wonder, and mute expressiveness made him the instant favorite of audiences worldwide.
The Par-T-Mask series was distributed as party favors and novelty items to promote the film, making them one of the earliest examples of Disney tie-in merchandise. These masks were designed for play and most were discarded after use, leaving only a small fraction surviving today.
This mask features Dopey’s signature grin, floppy purple cap, and wide-eyed innocence — instantly recognizable and highly desirable among Disneyana collectors. As part of the complete dwarf set, Dopey is considered one of the most essential characters to own.
