Pinocchio (Pinocchio) - Gilette Blue Blades - Advertising Promotional Paper Mask (1939)
$40.00
Issued in 1939 as a promotional tie-in between Gillette Blue Blades and Walt Disney Productions, this Pinocchio paper mask predates the film’s wide release in 1940 and represents one of the earliest commercial cross-promotions between Disney and a major consumer brand.
The mask was offered as a giveaway premium, often tucked into Gillette point-of-sale advertising or used in store promotions to tie Disney’s much-anticipated second feature film to a household name product. Measuring 9 ½" × 8", the lithographed colors remain bright and playful, with Pinocchio’s instantly recognizable smile and oversized hat labeled boldly with his name.
