Pancho (The Pirate) - Kelloggs Corn Flakes False Faces mask (1953) - backside (UK)
$150.00
Straight from the 1953 Kellogg’s Corn Flakes False Faces promotion in the United Kingdom comes Pancho the Pirate—complete with striped bandana, skull-and-crossbones emblem, gold earring, and menacing eyepatch. These masks were printed directly on the backs of cereal boxes and invited kids to cut them out, tie them on, and transform instantly into playful characters at the breakfast table.
The False Faces series was exclusive to the UK and is much harder to find than its American counterparts. Surviving examples like this one, uncut and still intact on the box panel, are scarce reminders of postwar British cereal promotions and the global reach of Kellogg’s advertising.
Measures approximately 8" x 10.5".
