Marty (The Man from Mars) - Wheaties Cereal mask (1940s-50s) - backside

$65.00

This “Marty, The Man from Mars” mask was Wheaties’ playful nod to the atomic age fascination with space, aliens, and futuristic fantasy. Issued on the back panels of cereal boxes in the late 1940s–50s, it captured mid-century America’s obsession with science fiction during the early days of the space race. The oversized glasses and bulbous features make it one of the most memorable character masks from the set.

Like the other Wheaties cut-out masks, most were trimmed away by children and discarded after use, making full, uncut panels difficult to find today.

Measures: 12.5 x 10 inches
Date: 1940s–1950s
Origin: Wheaties cereal backside premium

Rarity: Scarce. While not as elusive as the culturally themed masks (such as Bongo or Fooyung), Marty turns up less often than more common characters like Harold Teen.
