Cleopatra - Wheaties Cereal mask (1940s-50s) - backside

This bold Cleopatra mask was issued on the backside of Wheaties cereal boxes in the late 1940s–50s as part of their famous cut-out mask promotion. The design reflects mid-century America’s fascination with Hollywood epics and ancient history—Cleopatra’s striking makeup, regal headdress, and stylized Egyptian motif made this one of the most dramatic masks in the series.

Like the rest of the Wheaties mask set, children were encouraged to cut these out and wear them for play or Halloween. Because most were destroyed through use, uncut survivors like this example are scarce and highly collectible today.
