Enrico Caroli of Les Francescos - Kelloggs Corn Flakes Masks Famous Clowns (1955) - cutout (UK)
This vintage 1955 cut-out mask was printed on the back of Kellogg’s Corn Flakes boxes as part of the “Masks of Famous Clowns” series issued exclusively in the UK. It features Enrico Caroli, a member of Les Francescos, one of the most celebrated clown troupes of the mid-20th century.
The Francescos performed widely in Europe and were frequently billed in Tom Arnold’s Harringay Circus—a lavish London-based spectacle that ran from the late 1940s to the late 1950s, showcasing top international acts. Enrico’s comic expressions and distinct look made him a natural fit for Kellogg’s collectible series, which today stands as a vivid artifact of both post-war British entertainment and cereal-box promotions.
