Sylvester the Cat - Post Alpha-Bits Cereal mask (1960s) - backside

This large and colorful Sylvester the Cat mask was issued on the back of Post Alpha-Bits cereal boxes in the early 1960s, during the height of Saturday morning cartoon culture. Featuring Sylvester with his trademark sly grin, bold red nose, and oversized whiskers, this piece is a playful example of Post’s marketing tie-ins with Warner Bros. characters.

Unlike smaller cut-outs from earlier cereal promotions, this mask fills almost the entire panel, giving it a striking display presence. Surviving complete backs like this are not commonly found, as most were cut out and worn by children.
